Head of the Asian and Australian Department, Mr. Hamed Abbas Laftah, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Baghdad, Mr. Zhang Tao, accompanied by a number of embassy members, met at the ministry's headquarters.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common concern, including reviewing the notes issued by the Chinese side and the results of the meetings held by the ambassador with a number of ministers, as well as facilitating the citizens of the two countries to obtain visas to enter the Iraqi and Chinese territories.

During the meeting, the two sides expressed their great keenness to strengthen ties of joint cooperation to upgrade the level of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all fields.
