Economy News _ Baghdad



The Ministry of Electricity announced on Wednesday the signing of an agreement with Jordan for the international linkage in the field of electric power, with the aim of filling the future energy shortage in peak times.

The ministry said in a statement received by "Economy News" a copy of it, "represented by the General Company for the transmission of electric power Central region and signed an agreement with the Jordanian side on the international link in the field of electric power."

She added, "The two parties discussed the most important technical and commercial matters, and provide an economic feasibility study for the Iraqi and Jordanian interconnection of electric power. Connect as quickly as possible. "

The ministry pointed out that "the goal of the project is to fill the shortage of energy in the future at peak times to contribute to mutual benefit between the two countries."
