A member of the Committee on Oil, Energy and Natural Resources Representative Amjad al-Aqabi, on Wednesday, the formation of a joint committee between the federal governments and the Kurdistan Region to direct the implementation of the agreement to deliver 250 thousand barrels of crude oil from Kurdistan daily to Baghdad, which was discussed and support its implementation during the visit of the President of the Government of Kurdistan pleased Barzani last to Baghdad.

Al-Aqabi said in a press statement that "the oil revenues for the previous months will be delivered to the federal government retroactively," noting that "the two parties agreed to form a committee of the ministries of oil in each of the governments of the Center and the region to direct the delivery of 250 thousand barrels of crude oil per day in the Territory for a marketing company Oil (Sumo), noting that the region produces between 480 and 500 thousand barrels per day, "according to the punishment.

Adding that "the region confirmed that the non-delivery of such revenues since the beginning of the year and until now caused by delaying the formation of the government there," pointing out that "the complexities of the oil file with the region, and even specialists in this area sometimes feel confused about what is happening around it."

The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, has renewed on Monday, the commitment of his government to the Federal Budget Law, which requires the Kurdistan Region "to hand over 250 thousand barrels of oil per day to the Iraqi state."

"If the region does not deliver its share, it will be deducted from the budget, and that is exactly what we are doing," Abdul Mahdi said in a television interview. He pointed out that "the salaries of employees of the region paid within the budget and in a legitimate manner, and this rejoice the people of Kurdistan and connects the people of one nation to their homeland."
