The head of the border crossing authorities, Kazem al-Aqabi, confirmed Wednesday that the Saudi side had agreed on the importance of automating customs procedures between the two countries in trade exchanges at the Arar border post.
"The punishment of the Iraqi negotiating delegation in the meeting of transport, ports and ports in the Saudi-Saudi Coordination Council in Saudi Arabia to activate the trade movement between the two neighboring countries on the basis of the principle of partnership and reciprocity," the media said in a statement received by Mawazine News.

The Saudi side stressed that "the importance of choosing the entity to be responsible for the maintenance of all the port buildings and the agreement that the joint meeting between the two sides be held in the province of Basra in Iraq."
The work of the Iraqi-Saudi bilateral committee will continue for the period from 25 to 23 July. Several axes have been discussed and appropriate recommendations have been made to activate the work in Arar port and the achievement rates achieved to achieve the opening of trade exchange between the two countries.
