GE said it has added 125 megawatts to the grid in three months.

"The company added this amount of energy in a record time estimated at 3 months, where the engine was shipped and replaced and installed at the plant, which works on the advanced F9technologies of the company, which produces 500 MW. "

"The company team worked with its counterparts in the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity additional times for re-operation to support and increase productivity in electricity, which reached record numbers."

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said on Wednesday that all investment opportunities are available to the experience and large companies for the benefit of the citizen.

Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi received the CEO of GE Energy Joseph Anis and his accompanying delegation, the Prime Minister's Information Office said in a statement received.
The Prime Minister stressed "the importance of strategic partnership between the Iraqi government and General Electric Company to find comprehensive solutions to secure the electric power of citizens and benefit from modern technology and renewable energies."

He added that Iraq is expanding to international companies and investment opportunities available to the expertise and large companies to provide services to the Iraqi people in all areas, especially electric power. "He pointed out the importance of cooperation with GE to develop and improve energy.

The President of the General Electric Company announced the progress of the strategic projects implemented by GE, including the linking of several secondary stations in various provinces of Iraq to help break the bottlenecks this summer and summer and the progress of work in the projects of Samawa and Dhi Qar and the project of Zubair station, As well as the new projects under contract which will increase the production capacity of the network in Iraq by 3000 MW.
