The Executive Director of the Arund Free Zone in southwestern Iran has announced the follow-up on the establishment of joint industrial cities with Iraq.

"The establishment of joint industrial cities between Iran and Iraq will be pursued by the Arund Free Zone on behalf of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade," Ismail Zamani said.

He referred to his recent talks with "Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Reda Rahmani."
"During the meeting with the minister, he raised issues such as following up the problems of registering applications and trading with neighboring countries," he said.

The Arund free zone covers an area of 37,000 to 400 hectares in southwest Iran and includes the cities of Abadan, Khorramshahr and Minoshehr (Minu Island) to neighboring Iraq and Kuwait.
