Nineveh Governor Mansour al-Maraid said on Sunday that a plan to link the economy of Nineveh with the external economy and the reconstruction of all bridges destroyed during the next phase. He pointed out that the project of irrigating the northern island west of Nineveh could create about 500 thousand jobs if it runs in October.
"The province has great challenges at the level of service, political, social and security," he said, adding that "the basis is security related to the economic situation of the citizen."
He added that "such an environment is somewhat available but needs to be strengthened, noting that the province seeks to strengthen the presence of the company, which was assigned to the fields of Najma and Qayara in southern Mosul under the rounds of licenses from the Ministry of Oil and protection in cooperation with the concerned parties, to continue its plan to build the Qayara investment refinery 150,000 barrels to create thousands of jobs. "
