Al Maherid: Northern Island Irrigation Project will provide 500 thousand jobs

Governor of Nineveh province Mansour al-Maraid said on Sunday that the project of irrigating the northern island west of Nineveh can create about 500 thousand jobs in the event of operating in October, revealing a plan to link the economy of Nineveh economy abroad and the reconstruction of all bridges destroyed during the next phase.
"The province has great challenges at the service, political, social and security levels," Al-Muradaid said in a statement quoted by the official newspaper Al-Sabah and read by Al-Iktissad News. "The basis is security related to the economic situation of the citizen."
He added that "the province seeks to strengthen the presence of the company, which was assigned to the fields of Najma and Qayara in southern Mosul under licensing rounds from the Ministry of Oil and protection in cooperation with the concerned authorities, to continue its plan to build the Qayara investment refinery capacity of 150 thousand barrels to create thousands of jobs.
"The project of irrigating the northern island west of Nineveh can create about 500 thousand jobs if it runs in October next three stages," he said, adding that "all these opportunities combined will create a kind of safe environment and help the return of displaced people to their areas, especially that most The displaced are from western Nineveh. "
