On Saturday, the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Government Program and Strategic Planning discussed a proposal of the United Nations Program on the resolution of the housing crisis.

"The Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Government Program and Strategic Planning chaired a meeting chaired by Mohamed Ali Zinni, Chairman of the Committee, and devoted the meeting to study the proposal submitted by the United Nations Human Settlements Program (HIPTAT) on resolving the housing crisis. In Iraq and the treatment of random housing, which is entitled "Roadmap for the National Program to increase, maintain and control the housing stock in Iraq."

The statement added that the members of the committee "provided their views and observations on the proposal and the most important implications for its application in Iraq."

The participants stressed the importance of the proposal in solving the housing crisis and ending the issue of random housing on the state land and the need to adopt such strategies prepared by international bodies and organizations in solving many of the problems that the country suffers.

The meeting discussed "the final preparations for holding the extended workshop on Sunday and the main topics to be discussed during which the participants and the recommendations that will come out of the workshop."
