The Ministry of Agriculture revealed on Tuesday that the rains and floods in the country contributed to the provision of water rations for crops for more than two years. 
"The measures taken by the Ministry of Resources to store rain, flood and flood water have contributed to securing water to irrigate farmland for more than two years, almost four agricultural seasons," ministry spokesman Hamid Nayef said in a statement read by the economy. 
He added that "these rains and floods and floods will see their positive effects in the coming years, especially as it saved the country from the seasons of drought and associated with the lack of agricultural production," noting that "rain contributed to the growth of grass plants in the desert areas, which means the availability of large quantities of grass to graze sheep and livestock And encourage animal breeders to increase their numbers, as well as contribute to the stability of the soil and the absence of dust storms in the country during the seasons of drought.
Al-Nayef pointed out that "the Ministry, in conjunction with the changes of the strategic reservoir of water, prepared a plan to conduct studies to regulate the irrigation of crops and urged farmers to use modern irrigation methods and provide systems of drip irrigation and spraying at subsidized prices and convenient installment method, which contributes to reducing the amount of water used in watering crops Allows the ministry to increase the area of ​​land and allow the cultivation of all crops, including straw, maize and barley, which require the cultivation of double quantities of water to irrigate.

A member of the Committee on Agriculture representative Mansour al-Baiji, on Tuesday, that a committee will work in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Council of Ministers to compensate farmers and owners of the owners of orchards and the ravages of those affected by the rains and Alsol, which swept the country. 
"Many agricultural lands in the south and north of the country have been destroyed by rain and diarrhea this season, which makes it imperative for the government to work to compensate those affected by the agricultural season," al-Baiji said in a statement. 
He added that "any farmer affected by rain and diarrhea, the natural right of the state to compensate and that we in the Commission on Agriculture Alnnipip we will work in coordination with the government to compensate farmers as this is part of natural disasters and must compensate the affected farmers as soon as possible."
"All the farmers and owners of orchards and fields have spent large amounts of chemical seeds and fertilizer on their land until the harvest season, and rain and diarrhea have destroyed their lands, so the government has to compensate them in order to support the agricultural sector," he said.
