A source in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative said that its security council held a meeting at the Ministry of Oil to discuss the profitability of the oil companies.
The source said in an interview with "Economy News" that "the meeting began with the speech of the President of the Council, the Minister of Oil, Thamer Ghadhban," noting that "the Executive Director of the initiative, Alaa Yasiri, discussed the executive summary of the initiative (steps to strengthen the plan of participation of companies, Companies).
He added that "the meeting discussed the costs recovered from the oil companies and their wages and the profitability of financial transfers of state-owned companies and the method of calculating petrodollar transfers between the government and the provinces as well as other axes."
The source confirmed that "the meeting included the speech of the Director of Investigation of Transparency International, Alex Jordi, and discussed the appendix to the report 2016."

said a member of the Board of Trustees of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Iraq, Mohammad Rahim, said that the Council discussed at its meeting on Monday, the nature of therelationship between the ministries of oil and electricity after the accumulation of debt owed by thelast in favor of the oil. 
Rahim said in his interview with "Economy News" that during the meeting it turned out that there is a big problem related to the accumulation of debts of the Ministry of Electricity for the Ministry of Oil, noting that the Ministry of Electricity was receiving oil derivatives from the company marketing the oil (Sumo) without payment of the amounts of those derivatives. 
He added that this contributed to the accumulation of debts of the Ministry of Electricity at 11 billion dollars, noting that the President of the Council, Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban, following that the relationship between the two ministries is uncomfortable and can not continue to have such debts.
Al-Ghadhban stressed, according to Rahim, the need to reform the collection systems and amend the electricity charges and the provision of a law protects the classes of income and limited and high alike. 
With regard to petrodollar benefits, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Transparency Initiative for Extractive Industries, that "the amounts received by the provinces in a year, it revolves on the next year, but the main problem is that the provincial councils did not provide investment projects of the allocations of the Petrodollar, .
"The council discussed the Karbala refinery issue, which will be 150,000 barrels per day, at a cost of 4.5 billion dollars," Al Ghadhban explained, adding that the refinery will be managed by the Central Refinery Company and the ministry will participate in financing the refinery.

A member of the Board of Trustees of the initiative of transparency of extractive industries, Mohammad Rahim, said that the President of the Council, Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban decided to publish the final accounts of national oil companies within two weeks.
Rahim said in an interview with "Economy News" that "the Board of Trustees during a meeting held today in the decision of the Ministry of Oil, decided to publish the final accounts of national oil companies, whether it was certified by a final or not certified," adding that this comes "in application of transparency standards In extractive industries ".
He added that the Council directed to publish them within a period of time not exceeding two weeks.
