Agree IOBEY. Its one thing to travel to a country who's currency is a low value so you can get a bigger bang for your buck. It's another to invest and devalue your currency. Its Happening!!!

RE: Delta Post

This article is not what many may grasp. For instance, look at the implications of 7 billion dinar.. About $5,882,352.94.. lol Wow let start bragging about that? Then look at Belgium.. Hope your sitting down.. lol As this gets even better.. 922,000 Dinars at a program rate is about $774.79 USD. Does that even make sense?

No.. At 1:1 with an international calculation applied then the picture is not as funny.. It is or would be very impact full, imo. Notice they say Iraq is at 1.8 million Dinars, as they do Qatar.. Wow, a whopping $1,512.61 USD. That is some serious trade.. lol Now lets see if they mean something different. Notice they use 1.8 million (7 billion Dinar). Well imo 7 bil IQD / or 1.8 is about $3.89 if in USD..?

Makes me think they are clearly showing some bunk news. Or bad news like we were to expect. Yet, not bunk if they are talking 1:1 less an international calculation applied! imo..

Saudi Arabia Exports $668,490,655 USD

There is a far cry from Iraq exports in USD to that of the neighbor who btw imo is about 10 - 20 x less valuable even as the highest currency in the world based on resources imo..

It all supports they are talking of value related to (imo) an international rate to come..

IMO......We have Big news all around us already this week but I think their feet will be held to the fire and the votes taken prior to the budget opening.

Of course, binding agreements could have been signed to pre-empt a required vote prior to budget opening. Watch for new indications of payroll remittance projections including to Kurdistan as this very well may be an indication that all is once again moving forward........

If Tuesday is announced as a Holiday but Parliament still meets may be very exciting.....

The discovery of the remnants of a "lost" city in the Kurdistan region

2019/4/3 22:56

A group of French archaeologists have found remnants of an ancient city missing near the province of Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, asserting that the city is more than 4,000 years old. "Archaeologists have not been able to explore the site until after the departure of Saddam Hussein and the end of conflicts in the region," the French National Center for Scientific Research said on its official website.

The city, believed to be more than 4,000 years old, is located near the Zagros mountain range and was found at a mining site called Konara. The researchers discovered, after 6 excavations between 2012 and 2018, a large stone base on the site dating back to about 2200 years BC. The city lies on the western border of the ancient Mesopotamian empire and may have been an important center for an ancient mountainous people known as Lulupe. The city's demise occurred some 4000 years ago when it was consumed by fire, according to historians.

Archaeologist Christine Kibinski, who co-explored the site, said: "We did not expect a city to be discovered here at all." The site was found on dozens of clay-covered clay tablets in the city, including panels on agriculture and flour deliveries, and a collection of pottery and pottery that the city's residents are believed to have used for buying, selling and trading.

"People who lived in the city used to write in Akkadian and Sumerian, and they understand the language of their neighbors in Mesopotamia." LINK
