Saudi Arabia's Minister of Trade and Investment, Majid bin Abdullah al-Qasabi, will head the Saudi delegation to Baghdad tomorrow to participate in the second session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council.

The minister said that the delegation includes Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan al-Saud, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman al-Fadhli, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid al-Faleh, Minister of Education Hamad Al-Sheikh, Information Minister Turki Al-Shabbana and State Minister for Arab Gulf Affairs Thamer Al-Subhan.

The Saudi delegation includes the Governor of the General Customs Authority Ahmad Al-Qahbani, the Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Abdulaziz Al-Abdul Karim, the Chairman of the Public Transport Authority Rumih Al-Rumaih and the Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Abdulrahman Al-Harbi.

The delegation also includes representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Commerce and Investment, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

It includes representatives of the General Presidency of Intelligence, the Saudi Export Development Authority, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Public Transport Authority, the General Authority of Ports, the General Authority for Sport, the Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones, the Saudi Fund for Development, the State Security Presidency and the King Salman Relief Center.

The delegation also includes a high-level delegation from major Saudi companies wishing to invest in Iraq in various sectors.

The delegation will meet on the sidelines of the meeting, President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, and Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Mohammed Halbusi.

The Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council held its first meeting in October 2017 under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and US Secretary of State Red Tillerson.

The Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council aims to enhance the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields to new horizons and coordinate bilateral efforts to serve the interests of the two countries.
