UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday called for strengthening gains in Iraq and contributing to creating better services and creating more jobs.

"The gains made in Iraq over the past period should be reinforced by providing the best services and creating job opportunities for Iraqis," Guterres said during his speech at the 30th Arab summit in Tunis.

Guterres stressed the need to "strengthen the economy and education for Iraqis who deserve it," noting that "the opportunity for the Iraqi government to deal with the challenges according to a road map."

On Sunday, the 30th Arab summit in Tunis was attended by Arab political leaders and senior officials. Several issues were discussed, notably the Palestinian issue and the rejection of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. LINK
