[rtl]BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's parliament speaker  , Mohamed Halboussi, has been in the United States since Monday to meet with White House officials, the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as a  bill to remove foreign troops from the country, led by the US military .[/rtl]
[rtl]Except for local Iraqi media reported last Monday that the Iraqi parliament speaker traveled to the United States as part of an official visit lasting days, the official media and even the Office of the Presidency of Parliament did not talk about the visit, amid the confirmation of deputies and associates of Halbusi for travel.
The official silence on the visit opened the door to speculation about the motives behind this, including that the visit coincided with the announcement of US President  [size=22]Donald Trump annexation of the occupied Syrian Golan to the Israeli occupation state, and others attributed the lack of information to coincide with the state of mourning Iraqi official after the tragedy of Mosul, Search for victims so far.

The visit coincides with the visit of Halaboussi, accompanied by a delegation of parliament, with the efforts of parliamentary blocs close to Tehran to submit a draft law to remove foreign troops from Iraq, led by the US military, which inflated its forces during the past period to reach more than 11 thousand soldiers, about half of them fighters, and others As advisers and trainers.
"The visit will last for five days," said Salam al-Shammari, a member of the Iraqi parliament of the Sason coalition, a political bloc led by cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, in an interview with the New Arab, who will meet with White House officials and the Senate and House of Representatives. To attend meetings with leading research centers, will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen them, and US support in the reconstruction phase, in addition to issues of the region.
According to al-Shamri, the speaker of the parliament with a high-level delegation to Washington was supposed to put his hand in the Arab position, "to cooperate with the occupied Arab state of Palestine and the recent US administration decision on the occupied Golan."
"All members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives agree that no foreign forces will remain within the Iraqi borders, whatever they may be, whether technical or training, and the like. We hope that the Speaker of Parliament will put forward solutions to remove all foreign forces. As soon as possible from Iraqi territory. "
For his part, said the Iraqi parliamentarian Raad al-Dahlaki that the visit of Halbusi came "an invitation from the US Congress," indicating, in a telephone conversation with the "new Arab", that "a very important visit at this time," and that "will discuss important files on Iraq" "We need the international community to build the infrastructure of Iraq after the end of" and "we need to return the displaced and for military training," in reference to the demands for the removal of Americans from Iraq.

"We think it is very clear that with the presence of the international coalition, the liberated areas need the international community for the return of the displaced and for military training," he said. "I think that this visit came at the right time and will discuss important and important files, including the presence of US forces in Iraq. Iraq should not be a platform for hostility with neighbors, we respect neighbor, but Iraq's interest will be clear in this visit. "
He said in response to the blocks denies knowledge of the visit by saying: "This is not true The Speaker of the Parliament told, clearly, all the political blocs going to Washington, and was discussed on this matter in the meeting of the three presidencies, as the subject was discussed and took the opinion of the government and the President, And the delegation that accompanies him is not on one hand, but is an integrated delegation from all sides. "

Iraqi parliamentary sources pointed out that the visit of the Speaker of the Parliament will be paved for the visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, to discuss several important files, and was postponed more than once until the arrival of the new Ambassador Matthew Toller to Baghdad, led by the subject  of US forces and the presence of the International Coalition in Iraq General, and the reconstruction of liberated Iraqi cities, which are the same files that will be raised during the visit of the Iraqi parliament speaker to Washington.
