The deputy of Diwaniya province Mohammad al-Ghazi criticized on Friday the focus of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi during his visit to the province of Diwaniyah to meet the invitation of investors while forgetting to call the poor and listen to their suffering and concerns.
"The province of Diwaniyah, which is considered to be one of the poorest provinces, suffers from a low standard of living, not to mention the weakness of its financial resources due to the absence of border ports or large investment projects, which creates an increase in poverty and unemployment among its sons," Ghazi said in a statement. Noting that "Abdul-Mahdi's visit to the province was all wish good and be a starting point for the fairness of Diwaniyah, which made great sacrifices in the war on the preacher of the terrorist."
"It is strange to him that the visit of Abdul Mahdi is limited to meet the invitation of investors without listening or follow the suffering of the poor as we did not see any field trip to see the homes of the dilapidated province or schools prone to fall or the streets," pointing out that "the support of investors and the private sector Is a good thing and part of the advancement of the private sector and investment, but on condition that it is not at the expense of the poor and the people of the people and Abdul Mahdi should be prime minister of all Iraqis, especially the poor and not only investors.
