Economy News Baghdad:

The General Authority of Customs on Sunday called on all Iraqi and foreign companies and importers to proceed immediately to their nearest ports and land ports and to provide the necessary documents to complete the customs transactions to ensure smooth flow of trade and non-disruption of border crossings.
In a press release received by the "Economy News", the Commission called on importers to "complete all approvals from the import license and issue the conformity certificates for the goods covered by the pre-inspection program before sufficient time for the arrival of the goods, the customs centers and the non-accumulation of goods without obtaining the approvals, "He said.
The Authority affirmed that it is "exerting maximum efforts to overcome the obstacles and facilitate the entry of goods within the scope of the Customs Law and the regulations in force despite the severe shortage of staff and the collapse of infrastructure in the border port and the lack of suitability for customs work."
"Article (27 / III) of the Customs Law stipulates that the customs treatment of the suspended goods may not be allowed to be imported or exported on a license, license, certificate or any other document before submitting the necessary documents to the competent customs department. Exempt importers from providing import licenses ".

The Commission explained that it "provided the possible facilities for the entry of imported goods within the limits of the application of the laws in force and pointed out that its efforts to standardize customs procedures at all federal border crossings have been widely welcomed at the local and international levels and is continuing to implement the plan of comprehensive automation of customs procedures."
