Special - NRT
The International Committee on Foreign Relations said on Saturday that the international loans of the International Monetary Fund constrain the economic future of Iraq, noting that the lack of services in the federal provinces are borne by the failed policies of local governments.
Committee member Iqbal Abdul Hussein told the "NRT": International loans borrowed by the Federal Government of the International Monetary Fund to curb the economic future of Iraq. Pointing out that the poor services in the federal provinces and neglect borne by administrations and failed policies in local governments.
She added that the Committee on Foreign Relations calls on the federal government to move away from external borrowing for economic risks to future generations, stressing that there are a lot of budgets that have been disbursed to the provinces to provide services and projects, but officials in local governments through corruption wasted those funds.
The religious authority in Najaf earlier called on the government not to borrow outside, usually it may not be the most appropriate option in addressing the current economic situation.
Former Finance Minister Hoshiyar Zebari signed a loan agreement with the World Bank's Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Farid Balhaj, to reconstruct the liberated areas.
