Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Dr. Bassem Abdul-Zaman stressed the need to link the training outputs to the requirements and needs of the labor market in Iraq.
The minister said that the ministry has a point of view regarding the training programs because the existing professions are not within the needs of the labor market. 
He pointed out that there is a need to conduct a census of the professions required in the market as well as coordination and cooperation with the employers of the labor market to prepare training curricula commensurate with the market and to involve them in preparing professional standards for the courses. Training. 
The Minister also discussed with the MP for the province of Babylon the issue of social protection and the possibility of inclusion of vulnerable groups in the province, especially in the Musayyib district.
Abdul Zaman said that the ministry is in the process of making amendments to the laws on the welfare of the target groups, including the law of social protection through the amendment of the poverty line criterion that does not fit with the conditions of Iraqi society, and the ministry opened the door to objection to beneficiaries who were excluded based on the poverty line criterion.
