Oil Minister Thamir al-Ghadhban said on Monday that Iraq is exporting 80,000 barrels of Kirkuk oil through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline, pointing out that the price currently ranges between 66 and 67 dollars per barrel.
"With the commitment of the OPEC decision, we export more than 3.5 million barrels per day and the production of the Kurdistan region reaches 3.75 million barrels," Ghadhban said in a statement.
He pointed out that "the price is currently between 66 and 67 dollars a barrel and if we stay at this limit or more we will be comfortable and there is a difference in price between 6 and 8 dollars from Brent crude by type and dimension distance. "
"The high price between 70 to 72 dollars or between 65 to 70 will be comfortable for Iraq with a budget assumption of $ 56 and we have 20% deficit in the budget of Iraq, estimated at 133 billion dollars."
He stressed that "the export of Kirkuk oil through the pipeline located in the region associated with Fishkhabor through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline and export 80 thousand barrels per day," noting that "the limits of the production of Kirkuk fields range from 300 thousand barrels for many reasons."
"So far we have not received any quantities of oil in the region because of the adoption of the budget recently and we have a dialogue soon and there is a positive atmosphere and a good opportunity to apply the budget in 2019 to receive 250 thousand barrels of Kurdistan."
