The Minister of Reconstruction, Housing and Public Municipalities visited the city of Mosul in the province of Nineveh for a field study on the reality of service and follow up the progress of service projects implemented by the ministry in the province. 
He said in a press conference held in the governorate building after a meeting with the governor of Nineveh, Nofal al-Aakoub, that this year will complete the transfer and reconstruction of all bridges affected by terrorism in the city of Mosul, and immediately implementation and completion as soon as possible and according to technical specifications required to serve the people of Mosul. 
"Our visit to the province came for the purpose of following up the service projects of the ministry, including the projects of water, sewage, roads and bridges, stressing that all projects will be stopped and will be coordination and cooperation between the ministry and local government in the province at the highest level of reconstruction of the city of Mosul."
The minister stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the local government and the ministry to work together to overcome all obstacles that hinder the process of reconstruction and work in the spirit of the national team, which will achieve serious steps and real reconstruction of all infrastructure and not rely on international donors. 
The field tour of Minister Rikani in Mosul included the visit of the old city on the right side and the location of work in the project of the bridge of freedom, which was recently transferred to Saad State, one of the formations of the ministry, while opening the headquarters of the departments of sewage and water in the province.
