BAGHDAD (Reuters) - 


Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mehdi said on Saturday that normal conditions are gradually returning throughout the country and security forces are holding the initiative while the French minister of armies confirmed her country's support for stability in Iraq and efforts to pursue terrorism. 
"The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi received in his official office today, French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Barley, and discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries and support the efforts to stabilize Iraq and to fight the remnants of an advocate, and the situation in the region.
"The situation is gradually returning throughout the country and the security forces are holding on to the initiative, and regional and international cooperation is an important factor in the judiciary," he said, referring to the Iraqi-French relations and thanked him for supporting Iraq in fighting da'ash and for security, intelligence, humanitarian and displaced persons. He called on Abdul-Mahdi to 'focus support and cooperation in the next phase on the economic fields and the reconstruction and stability of Iraq', welcome 'the visits of senior officials of both countries to achieve this.'
