“Trump is set to deliver a State of the Union Address on Tuesday that could affect aid coming to Iraq, as Trump increasingly pursues policies that rely less on intelligence and diplomatic assets and the US military on the ground.”

Why would that be? Especially when Iraq has announced they are in a position to defend themselves via treasuries? They “Iraq” have assets in loans!! Imo They have ever so many countries at the plate.. Thus, they don’t need another finance conference. - imo - MM

Maybe Iraq now needs to engage their citizens with purchasing power and new smaller currencies?

The bases are loaded, 2 outs, 3 balls, and 2 strikes... Iraq's number 4 hitter is up for the CBI Money Changers... Score is 1 to nothing in the bottom of the ninth... Iran's pitcher wind's up, and delivers... Alak connects!.. Headed for deep right center, it's at the wall, IT is Outta HERE! GRAND SLAM! The game is over with the final score of 4 dinar to 1 dollar...

Thank you Frank & Delta for the nice surprise recording!!! Thank you for the positive message.....come on Iraq!!! You’re international, you’re acting international, now, tell everyone you’re INTERNATIONAL!!! I can’t wait for that day when we see a rate change....

Thank you for the update above, Frank and Delta.

So many signs from the International Community saying they have confidence in Iraq.

It cannot be much longer now; Iraq has a responsibilty to their citizens! its well past the time that the CBI and the Government "Step up" and increase the citizens purchasing power.

I am pleased that Walkingstick came through yet another challenging event. I pray that he continues and his road to recovery with 100% healing.

Author and media: Five American bases built in the region after the signing of the security agreement

2019/2/4 23:50

Writer and media writer Ali Abdul-Amir Al-Aboudi responded to a statement by a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the construction of US bases in the Kurdistan region before signing the strategic security agreement between Iraq and the United States. "The building of (5) US bases in the Kurdistan region came after the signing of the security agreement between Iraq and America," Al-Abboudi told the {Euphrates News}, calling on the Kurdish parties to "determine a respectable position and not stand in the middle."

A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Ali al-Faily, told (the Euphrates News) that the federal government is aware of the establishment of US bases in the Kurdistan region before signing the strategic security agreement between Iraq and the United States of America.

He added that "the Kurds tend to the Americans and with those who are in their interest with him," noting that "US President Donald Trump confirmed in his statement that the survival of US forces in Iraq to strike Syria and spying on Iran, knowing that those who dropped Iraq, however, calling the terrorist are the Americans."

Aboudi, "the best evidence of this Trump statement when running elections that Hillary Clinton is the one who made a call to enter Iraq," noting that "who addressed to the Da'ash are the factions of the resistance and not the Americans."

The slave said that "the former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the former Haider Abadi and current Adel Abdul Mahdi, all confirmed that the US forces stationed in Iraq are advisers and trainers," and wondered "if the elite forces (commandos) strength trained by the {1000} coach why the Iraqi forces trained With (6) thousands of American coaches? " "The Americans did not sign to stay in Iraq, but an agreement was signed on their exit from Iraqi territory, and it is very shameful to distance ourselves from a big mistake." LINK

NEW PHASE ....

Iraqi budget becomes law to allow Iraq to enter new phase in 2019

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — The budget for Iraq for Fiscal Year 2019 officially became law on Monday with the signature of Iraqi President Barham Salih.

"His Excellency stressed the need to ensure basic services to people and start the construction and reconstruction phase, appreciating efforts from the government and parliament to prepare, study, and legislate the budget bill,” stated the president’s office.

Parliament passed the budget bill on January 23 before going into recess on January 29.

Lawmakers from the Kurdistan Region were satisfied with its language.

It contained measures guaranteeing the payment of Kurdistan Regional Government’s employees even if the KRG does not hand over the specified 250,000 bpd to Baghdad.

It also allowed a portion of the defense ministry's budget to go the Peshmerga ministry.

In 2014, faced with a financial crisis caused by a budget cut from Baghdad, falling oil prices, a costly war with ISIS, and hosting nearly 2 million displaced Iraqis, the KRG introduced a salary saving scheme.

The wildly unpopular measure slashed the salaries of state employees and delayed payments for months at a time.

With federal funding established, the KRG can more easily form a new cabinet following its parliamentary election on September 3 link
