Nassif: Iraq is facing industrial disaster Pazar

News Agency / MP Nassif called on President Barham Saleh to intervene and protect the national industry from what she described as the disaster that is exposed to the exemption of hundreds of items of goods imported from customs duties.
In a statement, all countries of the world receive customs duties on the simplest things they enter. Some countries even charge a personal mobile phone if the guest stays at home for more than four months. If the money is not paid, the phone line stops, while Iraq is an open market. In front of everyone without fees and expense, and then complain the government of the budget deficit and resort to external loans.
Nassif explained that one of the most important reasons for the "destruction" of national industry and its inability to compete with imported goods in terms of prices is not to impose customs duties on the importer, similar to the disaster of exempting Jordan from customs duties on 371 articles mostly made in Iraq, as well as potatoes, tomatoes, eggs and chicken .
"Will the government is satisfied with the collapse of the national industry and dumping theIraqi market imported goods exempted from customs duties on the national product account? Is it not the duty of the national product protection and seek to revitalize national industry and strengthen the Iraqi economy rather than contributing to its destruction?
And stressed" the need for the President 's intervention to protect The national product and stop the confusion in the exemption of imported goods from customs duties and work as far as possible to save the national industry and support the domestic product through the use of committees of economists and the development of appropriate plans in this regard.
