The National Security Council, chaired by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, discussed on Tuesday the security, economic, service and humanitarian situation in Nineveh. 

"The National Security Council held its weekly meeting today under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Adel Abdul Mahdi, to discuss the latest developments and the agenda," the press office of the Prime Minister said in a statement.



He pointed out that "the Council discussed the security, economic, service and humanitarian situation in the province of Nineveh, in the presence of the governor of Nineveh, Mr. Nofal Hamadi Sultan and security officials in the province, in order to develop solutions and treatments necessary." 

He added that "the National Security Council discussed the necessary recommendations on the basis of classification and exchange of information with Arab and foreign countries."
