[ltr]The Human Rights Commission in Basra, the arrest of two people during the demonstrations yesterday in the province, while indicated that it will follow up and provide what they need. 

The Commission stressed that the failure of the central government to fulfill its commitments to Basra will lead to the continuation of popular protests.[/ltr]


[ltr]In a press statement, the Commission expressed its concern over the difficult humanitarian situation and the exposure of the demonstrations in Basra, calling on the Basra Provincial Council for an emergency meeting in the presence of representatives of Basra in the House of Representatives to find solutions to the suffering of the Basrien.[/ltr]

[ltr]The pace of demonstrations escalated yesterday in the province of Basra, which resulted in the injury of a riot police officer with severe injuries in the head.[/ltr]

[ltr]  The correspondent of the Tigris in Basra, the demonstrators set fire to the local police caravan Jubaila Street leading to the Office of the province, which called for the intervention of riot police to dismantle the demonstrations, which led to the injury of an officer force after the clash with the demonstrators ..[/ltr]
