Follow - up / Tomorrow 's Press:

announced the Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Protector Aksoy, that his country intends to re - open two consulates and the opening of another two in four Iraqi provinces.

"Turkey plans to reopen its consulates in Nineveh and Basra provinces and open two consulates in Kirkuk and Najaf in Iraq this year," Aksooy told a news conference at the Turkish foreign ministry in Ankara.

He stressed that his country wants to develop relations with Iraq, recalling Turkey's largest pledge of five billion dollars for the reconstruction of Iraq.

"Efforts are underway to open the border crossing with Iraq," he said, noting that trade relations between the two countries will be positively affected at the opening of the crossing.

"This year we plan to reactivate our consulates in Mosul and Basra, and then in Kirkuk and Najaf in Iraq, and this way our approach will continue to embrace all regions and categories of Iraq," he said.

On the US sanctions imposed on Iran, he pointed out that Turkey does not see sanctions on Tehran correct. Indicating that these sanctions will harm the Iranian people, and the stability of the region.
