Parliamentary Economy: Our meeting with the Minister of Industry came to develop the public and private sectors


The head of the committee for economy and investment committee, Hassan Jalal al-Kanani, said on Sunday that the committee's meeting with the minister of industry came to develop the public and private sectors. 

In a press conference held in the House of Representatives with the participation of the minister of industry and members of the committee, Al-Kanani said that "the meeting with the minister to upgrade the Iraqi industry to the public and private sector, which has the effect of contributing to the provision of employment opportunities for the people."

He stressed that "the Committee stressed the Minister of the need to restore and rehabilitation of all industry institutions in all provinces, and the abolition of the integration of all companies." 

He stressed the need to "protect the public and private national product to promote the productive reality and eliminate unemployment," calling for "the formation of a high-level committee to know the industrial and economic reality in Iraq, especially companies of the Ministry of Industry and the former Military Industrialization." 

He called for "the suspension of the import of all goods from neighboring countries and abroad, except for the raw materials involved in production and spare materials for the rehabilitation of Iraqi industries." He stressed that "all ministries must be obliged to contract with the Ministry of Industry exclusively without an intermediary to promote the national product."

For his part, said the Minister of Industry and Minerals that "the meeting of the ministry and its cadre advanced at its first meeting fruitful and positive."

"We discussed several paragraphs and went out with decisions to comply with all items, especially the obligation of the ministries to contract with the industry in addition to the establishment of industrial cities." 

He stressed that "the Ministry of Industry will witness an industrial renaissance to leave the positive impact and restore the confidence of citizens in Iraqi products and re-manufacture in Iraq."
