Secretary General of the Council of Ministers chairs the meeting of the Government Program Team 2018-2022

The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers d. Mehdi Al-Alaq Meeting of the Government Program Team 2018-2022, on the alignment of the projects of the program with the estimates of the federal budget for the current year and future years.

The Secretary-General stressed the importance of transforming the government program into a plan of action based on two main tracks (financial allocations and priority), as well as setting a specific time frame.

The meeting concluded with an extensive meeting of all ministries to review the projects included in the government program and to identify the projects that correspond to the two tracks in order to be a precise program that can be implemented.

The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers d. Mahdi Al-Alaq stressed the importance of overcoming all the challenges that delay the implementation of the infrastructure projects included in the German loan covering the period (2018-2020).
This came during his chairmanship of the meeting of the working groups of the German loan projects and follow-up implementation in the presence of the Chairman of the coordination between the provinces d. Turhan Mufti and President of the Reconstruction Fund d. Mustafa Al-Hitti, on the discussion of the obstacles that prevent the completion of the requirements for the completion of infrastructure projects in the liberated areas within the German soft loan amounting to (500) million euros.
The participants discussed the remarks made by the Iraqi and German sides to activate the loan and set up a mechanism to implement the requirements of completing the projects according to the periods specified for the completion of infrastructure projects, which focuses on the development of water, electricity, sanitation and other sectors, especially in the liberated areas.
