The location of the new Afaqai border crossing between Baghdad and Ankara

The border crossing authority announced on Sunday the completion of the work to identify and survey the geographical location of the new border crossing between Iraq and Turkey.
The authority said in a statement received by "Economy News", that the crossing 'Afakay' border is located north of the province of Dohuk, and that the Turkish side expressed its readiness to take care of all expenses related to the construction and processing of the crossing.
She added that the aim of the new crossing is to increase trade between the two countries and facilitate the transport of goods coming from Europe and Turkey to the Gulf States through Iraq.
