Minister of Planning Nuri al-Dulaimi on Monday set up a committee to follow up on projects that have been suspended as a result of the security and economic conditions faced by Iraq. 

"The Dulaimi said during a meeting with the governor of Nineveh, Nofal al-Aakoub, pointed out that the work of this committee will be the inventory of all the projects included in the previous budgets after 2014, and the stages of completion, especially beyond the stage of 80% , And possible solutions to follow up the implementation of local and international efforts, and in cooperation with the Fund reconstruction of the affected areas, and government agencies concerned.

He added that "the environment of reconstruction and construction is political stability and community peace," referring to "activating and increasing the size of community participation in the formulation of economic and development policies in the context of enhancing administrative decentralization and giving local governments the appropriate space to achieve sustainable development." 

Dulaimi pointed out the importance of future projects, what they can offer jobs, as well as their contribution to supporting the economy and providing services. 

For his part, the governor of Nineveh praised the efforts exerted by the minister to implement them during the meeting. Including many projects that have reached high rates of achievement. "


He reviewed "the difficulties facing the province, including the volume of destruction on the right side, and the lack of financial allocations, and not pay the full dues of contractors and farmers."
