Sources reveal a race between the Kurdish parties to win the post of Minister of Justice

Baghdad / Al-Ghad Press:
Informed political sources said Sunday that the Kurdish parties, the Democratic and the Patriotic Union, are in a race to resolve the Justice Ministry candidate in the Iraqi government, referring to dialogues with the Shiite and Sunni parties to pass Khaled Shawani to the ministry.

"There is a race between the Democratic Party and the National Union on the candidate of the Ministry of Justice in the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, which is scheduled to pass the parliament candidate for the office in the next Tuesday or Thursday." 

"The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan told Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi that he would not relinquish the position of the Ministry of Justice and would not accept his marginalization," she said, adding that "the Democratic Party told Abdul Mahdi that the post of Minister of Justice is an electoral entitlement, . 

The sources said that "the Movement for Change behind the scenes of the Prime Minister candidate for the post of Minister of Justice," indicating that "the Democratic Party rejected the order and considered it (coup) in the Kurdish house." 

"The National Union is conducting dialogues with Shiite and Sunni parties to pass Khalid Shawani to the Ministry of Justice."
