Abdul-Mahdi reshuffles the Council and meets the Supreme Council for the fight against corruption

BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Monday reshuffled the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption, noting that the aim of his reshuffle is to create a new course of action to fight corruption.
"The latter presided over the first session of the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption, which was held today with the presence of the heads of the public prosecution, the judicial supervision authority, the financial control bureau, the Integrity Commission, the Inspector General of the Ministry of the Interior and a number of advisers," the office said in a statement.
"The aim of the restructuring of the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption is to enable it to take deterrent measures and unify the efforts of the regulatory bodies in the context of a new work capable of confronting any party or person whatever its position and act as a state in the detection of corruption and the protection of society and citizens and public money to the extent whether'.
