Halabousi: Parliament will strengthen the role of the provinces

Baghdad / Al-Ghad Press:
Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammad Halboussi said Monday that the parliament will work to strengthen their role. 

The media office said to the Speaker of the House of Representatives in a statement received by Al-Ghad Press that Al-Halbusi received today a delegation from the heads of the provincial councils. During the meeting, several files were discussed, To the provinces ".

He added that "the meeting touched on the most important problems and obstacles experienced by the provincial councils, as well as discuss the legislation they need; to promote the reconstruction and development sector." 

Al-Halbusi, according to the statement that "the House of Representatives will work during the next phase to strengthen the role of the provinces in a way that qualifies them to upgrade the reality of services." 

He stressed Halbusi "the need to give broader powers to the provinces and provinces, in order to facilitate investment opportunities, and stimulate the private sector, and provide employment opportunities."
