Team / Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, meets US Secretary of the Navy

Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met with Richard Spencer, US Secretary of State and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting dealt with a number of issues and topics of mutual interest in light of enhancing various aspects of military cooperation relations, especially in the fields of joint naval exercises, transfer and exchange of expertise and support of combat and technical capabilities between the armed forces of both countries.

Mohamed Farid stressed the depth of the military cooperation relations which combine the armed forces of the two friendly countries to establish security and stability in the Middle East.

The US Secretary of State also praised the strong friendship and joint coordination between the armed forces of both countries, which are conducive to further cooperation in many fields.

The meeting was attended by a number of leaders of the armed forces.
