The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, thanked the German government for its military assistance to the Peshmerga forces and Iraqi forces during the war on the organization of a supporter.

"We thank the parliament and the German government for allowing them to send weapons and ammunition to the Peshmerga and Iraqi forces and to train them and to support a project to reorganize the Peshmerga forces," Barzani told a joint news conference with German Foreign Minister Haikou Mas.

"We thank Germany for its position last year. We received the honor of the visit. I, Kebad Talabani, were greeted in Berlin by German Chancellor Angela Merkel," he said, referring to the visit that followed the independence referendum. .

Barzani, "We discussed with the German Foreign Minister to strengthen bilateral relations and complete the federal government, and the formation of the new government for the Kurdistan region, and the situation of displaced people and refugees in the region," and expressed his thanks to Germany on the rehabilitation of Kurdish Yazidat survivors of the grip of the organization.
