A source in the local government of Anbar (Basneoz): This is the most corrupt institution in the province!

Rigging, counterfeiting and suspicious deals within their corridors

Ahmad Alqaisee  16/12/2018 - 16:55 Iraq

Anbar province's health department is the most corrupt, administratively and financially, in various parts of hospitals and health centers in Anbar.

The source told Basnews correspondent that "the Integrity Committees and Control Chambers in Anbar identified Anbar Health Department as the most corrupt departments, both financially and administratively, and witnessed transactions of fraud and theft of funds by a number of officials, employees and departmental officials."

The source, who wished to remain anonymous, said that "the disaster lies in the lack of disclosure of the circumstances and a comprehensive investigation into the issue of medicines and treatments of chronic diseases that disappeared from the Anbar health stores in 2016 and a file stolen money by a senior employee in Ramadi two months ago."

The source pointed out that "there are a lot of problems and obstacles that stand in front of the Integrity Committees and control departments that are trying to detect manipulation and counterfeiting and suspicious transactions within the corridors of the Health Department of Anbar and some hospitals and specialized centers."

"The reasons behind the delay in detecting and accounting for those involved are the existence of political parties and influential figures working to hide the facts to earn money and protect brokers and users of these deals."
