Minister of Commerce: The volume of exchange with China reached 21 billion dollars during 2018


[rtl]- Trade Minister Mohammed Hashim al-Ani discussed on Sunday with Chinese Ambassador[/rtl]
[rtl] to Iraq Chen Wicheng the establishment of industrial cities and a memorandum of understanding to maintain the quality of Chinese goods exported to Iraq, as well as increasing the   volume of trade exchange with China, which is the largest in Iraq's trade with the countries of the world.[/rtl]
[rtl]This came during a meeting with the Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China in Baghdad, Chen Wicheng, and discussed during the meeting the activation of trade relations and increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.[/rtl]
[rtl]During the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of relations between China and Iraq, pointing out that it is based on historical roots and extends to 2400 years when trade passes through the Silk Road which starts from China to Iraq and other Arab countries.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added that 'Iraq and China have an agreement on trade, economic and technical cooperation and renewed a similar agreement signed in 1997 and there is a joint committee between the two countries held its last meeting in Beijing in 2016 and we have the desire to hold the next meeting in Baghdad to be a serious message at the level of stability in Iraq' .[/rtl]
[rtl]He also pointed out that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in 2018 amounted to more   than 21 billion dollars, including Iraqi exports to China amounting to 15 billion, thus the volume of trade exchange is the largest in Iraq's trade with the countries of the world.[/rtl]
[rtl]The Minister of Commerce pointed out that the government program announced by the Prime Minister stressed the importance of economic openness to the world and the elimination of double taxation and support of foreign investments to rehabilitate the infrastructure as well as streamlining the procedures   . "We call on Chinese companies to increase investment projects in the fields of oil and gas, Building and cooperation in the field of military technology and the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the quality of Chinese goods and goods exported to Iraq within the approved standards.[/rtl]
[rtl]For his part, the Chinese ambassador in Baghdad praised the efforts made by Iraq to combat   terrorism and victory over armed groups, stressing China's desire to increase the volume of trade exchanges with Iraq, which has developed after the   framework agreement under which China will provide more than 10 billion US dollars to Iraq.[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that the security stability is establishing strong relations that encourage reconstruction in Iraq and wider entry of Chinese companies in Iraq, praising the position of the Iraqi government in providing security for Chinese companies investing in Iraq.[/rtl]
