Official: Iraq raises oil production in the field of Halafaya to 370 thousand b / d

Economy News _ Baghdad

Iraq has raised production in the southern oil field of Halafaya by 100 thousand barrels per day to a total of 370 thousand barrels per day, an oil official told Reuters on Wednesday.
The Helvaya run by PetroChina is the largest field in Maysan province.
Adnan Nushi, director of Maysan Oil Company, which oversees the oil fields in Maysan province, told Reuters on an appropriate margin in Halafaya that production had increased after the completion of a new oil processing facility.
Last year, Iraq said it planned to increase its oil production capacity to five million bpd.
Iraq is the second largest producer of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) after Saudi Arabia, with a total production of about 4.55 million barrels per day.
