The General Directorate of Nationality announced on Tuesday the suspension of receipt of passport issuance transactions, indicating that the period of suspension starts from 25 this month until the second of next month.

General Director of Nationality Major General Haitham Gharabawi said in a statement read by al-Marbid that the suspension decision excludes emergency and special cases in Baghdad and the provinces.

The statement added that this decision was issued for the end of the fiscal year 2018.
