Naseer Shamma, the musician who launched the celebration of World Peace Day on September 21, 2016, continues his interest in bringing aesthetic, urban and tourist touches not only in Baghdad but also in places, symbols and cultural and artistic figures from the beloved land of Iraq.
In this context, after he briefed Shama on the appeal of the intellectuals and artists of Basra Al-Fayhaa about the fall of characters from the poem "The Incense of Rain", from the front of the base of the monument of the great poet of Iraq Badr Shaker Al-Sayab in Basra Al-Fayhaa and one of the founders of free poetry in modern Arabic literature, And the non-response of the concerned authorities in the local and federal government, even initiated contact with the Union of Writers and the Association of Iraqi Formation in Basra, was formed a committee headed by artist Ahmed Saad, president of the Fine Artists Association in Basra, which reported the current state of the monument.
In light of this, the musician Naseer Shamma, in cooperation with the sponsors of the initiative of Baghdad: (the Iraqi Central Bank) and (Association of Iraqi private banks), that the team of the initiative of Baghdad Engineering Corps to carry out a comprehensive restoration and maintenance of the monument and its base and adjacent to all, The magnificent Sayab is the eternal poem of the rain, in a beautiful and wonderful manner, in accordance with the latest and best technical specifications, and in order to suit the high standing of Iraq's cultural treasures and timeless symbols.
It is hoped that the maintenance of the new monument will be completed in the presence of musician Naseer Shamma, with the holding of the new session of the poetry festival, which will be held in Basra on February 13 next year, which will include a selection of Iraqi writers, Arabs and foreigners.
