Trump announces appointment of US State Department spokeswoman Heather Neuert as ambassador to the United Nations

07-12-2018

[rtl]Baghdad:[/rtl]

[rtl]US President Donald Trump announced the appointment of former Fox News reporter Heather Noert as ambassador to the United Nations.[/rtl]

[rtl]On the other hand, the CNN television reported Friday quoting unnamed sources that John Kelly is expected to resign from the position of chief of staff of the White House within days.[/rtl]

[rtl]White House representatives could not be reached for comment.[/rtl]

[rtl]There have been reports of tense relations between President Donald Trump and retired Gen. Kelly, 68, a long time ago.[/rtl]

[rtl]The relations have now worsened, but the decision to leave the potential Kelly is not final unless it is announced, CNN said, quoting sources.[/rtl]

[rtl]A source told Reuters last month Trump was considering appointing an alternative to Kelly. The source said Nike Vice President Mike Bens' senior staff is one of the potential candidates.[/rtl]

[rtl]Kelly sought to bring more discipline and stability to the White House, which was in a state of chaos under Trump's administration, which is hard to predict[/rtl]
