The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign exchange sales rose Wednesday to $ 159.64 million, compared with $ 157.19 million on Tuesday, or $ 2.45 million.
The Central Bank, in a statement seen by "economy News", the exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 29 banks, and one financial transfer company.
The bank said the sales were the results of Thursday's auction, indicating total sales totaled $ 177.14 million.
Amounts sold to strengthen bank balances abroad were $ 158.84 million, while total cash sold was estimated at $ 18.3 million.
The Central Bank, according to the statement, "The sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price."
