A copy of a document obtained by Basnews on Monday evening showed the names of the eight candidates for the remaining ministries in the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi.

The document is a letter from the Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to the Presidency of the Council of Representatives, which includes a list of candidates for vacant ministerial posts in the new government, in order to offer to gain confidence in parliament.

The candidates are:

Ministry of Higher Education: Qusay Abdul Wahab Al - Suhail
Ministry of Education: Saba Khairuddin Al-Tai
Ministry of Culture: Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani
Ministry of Displacement and Migration: Hana Emmanuel Korkis
Ministry of Justice: Dara Noureddine
Ministry of Planning: Nuri Nateq Hamid Abtan Dulaimi
Ministry of Interior: Faleh Fahad Faisal Al Fayadh
Ministry of Defense: Faisal Faisal al-Jarba
Judge Dara Noureddine is a prominent Kurdish judge who served as Minister of Justice from February 2008 until 2010.

Judge Dara Noureddine, who ruled that the decree issued by Saddam Hussein's government and allowed the confiscation of land without proper compensation unconstitutional, was sentenced to several years in prison but spent 8 months in Abu Ghraib prison before being released in October. 2002 after a general amnesty.

Nur al-Din was a member of the interim Iraqi Governing Council after 2003.
