(Baghdad: Al Furat News) President Barham Saleh confirmed to the President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Faik Zeidan the importance of working on the principle of separation of powers.

"Saleh received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Monday the President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Faik Zaidan, and President Barham Salih stressed during the meeting the importance of working on the principle of separation of powers as well as full support for independence The judiciary and the strengthening of the rule of law and the protection of the Constitution, noting that one of the priorities of the President of the Republic is to ensure the implementation of the Constitution. .

Saleh also stressed the necessity of cooperation between the Presidency and the Supreme Judicial Council in preparing laws and legislation in line with the developments of the stage and the situation in the country and re-evaluating the laws that need to be reviewed.

For his part, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zaidan, praised President Barham Salih's keenness to strengthen the rule of law and support the development of the work of the Supreme Judicial Council, stressing "the importance of the role of the presidency as the protector of the constitution, which gives the judiciary unlimited independence and support."
