(Reuters) - Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki attacked Saudi Arabia again and accused it of "encouraging support," while pointing out that Iraq would not be a member of any alliance against Iran.

"Iraq will not be a member of any alliance with America and Saudi Arabia against Iran and will not be allowed to use its territory against its neighbor Iran," he said in an interview with Iran's Radio and Television.

He added that "Iraq will not be part of a coalition led by a state supportive of the kind of Saudi Arabia that brought war and destruction to Iraq," noting that "America seeks to be Iraq within the alliance led by Saudi Arabia."

He pointed to the need to "the importance of the departure of the government of Abdul Mahdi, from the American axis, the fact that Iraqi political alliances will not pass the survival of Iraq in this axis."
