The Ministry of Commerce announced on Wednesday the start of the 34th ministerial session of the COMCEC in Istanbul, in the presence of trade ministers of the OIC member states. 
"The meeting was opened by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his capacity as Chairman of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC)," the ministry said in a statement.
"Iraq is keen to participate in the COMCEC meetings in order to develop and develop its commercial relations with its Islamic depth, especially since there are important recommendations that serve the economic, agricultural, commercial, financial, transport and communication sectors and poverty alleviation in the member countries," the minister said. Officials who preceded the meeting and will be submitted for approval by trade ministers of member states. " 
Al-Ani added that "Iraq is an active member of the COMCEC and aspires to be a bigger role in the next stage, especially as the government platform stressed the importance of openness to the world and give a greater role to Iraq in international forums and economic gatherings." 
He pointed out that he will meet with "a number of his counterparts the ministers of member states with a view to activating economic relations and inviting investment companies to participate in the campaign of reconstruction and rehabilitation of infrastructure."

"Al-Ani met with a number of ministers participating in the 34th Ministerial Meeting of the COMCEC in Istanbul, Turkey, who also congratulated him on his assumption of the duties of the Ministry of Commerce," the Ministry of Commerce Information Office said in a statement received by Mawazine News. 
The statement added that "Al-Ani, met with Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, and the delegation accompanying him," noting that "
"Saudi Arabia's desire to develop bilateral relations and work with Iraq in the next phase is to hold meetings and forums between businessmen in both countries," Saudi Minister Majid bin Abdullah al-Qasabi said. 
Al-Qasabi expressed his country's desire to sign an agreement with Iraq on facilitating trade and customs procedures to facilitate the entry of goods into the markets of both countries. 
In turn, welcomed the Minister of Commerce Mohammad Hashim al-Ani, "that call," stressing "the depth of relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia." 
Al Ani expressed his keenness to promote the development of trade exchange between the two countries and encourage Saudi investors to invest in Iraq.
"Al-Ani also met with Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali al-Kuwari and his accompanying delegation," the statement said, adding that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen and develop Iraqi-Qatari relations at all levels. 
"Qatar is ready to work and cooperate with Iraq in all fields and to expand trade exchange with Iraq," Qawari said, referring to "the subject of the transport agreement signed between Qatar, Iran and Turkey." 
Al-Kuwari expressed "his hope that Iraq will be within the framework of the agreement which will facilitate the passage of goods and transport through those countries." 
For his part, welcomed the Minister of Commerce, Mohammed Hashim al-Ani, "the idea," explaining that "the matter was submitted to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers to obtain the necessary approvals in respect of accession to the Convention."
The two parties reviewed the "preparations and technical procedures for the meetings of the Iraqi-Qatari committee, which will be held in Doha next month, where the Iraqi side is headed by the Minister of Commerce Mohammad Hashim al-Ani." 
The 34th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was held on 28 November in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who stressed the need to reform the structure of the United Nations. 
"The use of national currencies in our trade deals is of the utmost importance in order to break the chains of imperialism," Erdogan said.  
The OIC Secretary-General, Yousuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, called for the restructuring of the economies of many OIC Member States, which face the challenges caused by the negative effects of the economic slowdown, stressing the importance of focusing more on diversifying the economy and working towards comprehensive development. 
The Secretary-General of the Organization, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, received the invitation on Wednesday during a ministerial session of the 34th session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of COMCEC. 
Several emerging markets around the world, with membership in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), have been hit by economic and financial damage caused by the global economic slowdown (2008-2016).

Erdogan warns of a scheme to redraw the region starting with Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Palestine

- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday warned of a plan to redraw the region through a major war that has caused crises and tensions ranging from Syria to Yemen, Iraq and Palestine. 

Addressing the opening session of the 34th meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) in Istanbul, Erdogan called for "not to fall into the traps of those trying to draw Muslims among themselves by focusing on differences and differences."


"The negative effects of the First World War are still clear for a century, and Turkey is the most sensitive country in the region," he said. "He said. 

He added: "Were not we disappointed when we walked the doors of international forums and organizations to solve the Palestinian issue and the internal wars in our region, what do we expect or hope for them? The First World War, which caused large massacres of the European continent, brought to our region many diseases, Ethnic and sectarian divide ". 

He stressed that sectarian fanaticism has weakened the Islamic community from within and made it vulnerable to external interference. He pointed out that adopting the doctrine and considering it as a religion is one of the greatest tribulations that have no place in Islam.

In this regard, he said: "According to our belief, everyone who believes in one God and one religion and one prophet and one book, is our brother in religion, and no one has the right to narrow the limits of Muslim brotherhood that our Lord and Prophet Muhammad (Seal of Messengers) Muslim place to accommodate all of humanity, not to 1.7 billion Muslims. " 

"There is no need to discuss who bears responsibility for the millions of hungry and displaced people in Yemen, because Muslims are responsible," Erdogan said. 

He stressed the need to avoid Muslims falling into the trap of adopting the theory of "point of oil more expensive than a drop of blood."
