Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning: We are working on the preparation of the first voluntary report on sustainable development with the support of the United Nations Development Program

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for Technical Affairs Dr. Maher Hammad said that the first voluntary Iraqi report on sustainable development for 2019 has become one of our functions as a national committee for sustainable development and the Ministry of Planning and all those concerned with the theme of the sustainable development agenda in the country as it is important to communicate with the world and deliver our experience to them and our privacy and to see their experiences Hammad said in a speech during a training and advisory workshop held by the ministry to develop a roadmap for preparing the first voluntary report for sustainable development in 2019 in cooperation with the UN Development Program. Interaction and communication in order to disseminate it as a culture rather than merely a report to be presented as a means of communication with all stakeholders to benefit from various methodological initiatives that are clearer and more secure for the implementation of the sustainable development agenda and for the voluntary review.
For his part, Director of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq, Gerardo Noto, said that this workshop is a good opportunity to cooperate more with the Iraqi government and to discuss more about the sustainable development plan 2030, expressing his hope to get the best results for this agenda through this workshop. He added that the workshop will address all ideas and support each other for what we get and share the experience and share all these things with you so that we can get better results for this agenda to achieve in 2030 and also the participation of lessons and what the challenges we faced and continued by saying:
During the four-day workshop, participants will discuss methodologies and preparations for the preparation of Iraq's voluntary report on sustainable development for 2019. It should be noted that the workshop was held with the participation of a number of general managers in the Ministry of Planning and representatives of ministries and entities not affiliated with the Ministry, as well as a number of international experts, academics and relevant bodies as well as representatives of the United Nations Development Program.
