The Central Bank of Iraq (CBE) on Tuesday told all banks that Hong Kong will issue five new trading categories.
"The Monetary Authority of Hong Kong / China will issue the new series of banknotes for categories (HK $ 20, HK $ 50, HK $ 100, HK $ 500, KH $ 1000) between 2018 and 2020," the bank said in a statement.
"The Monetary Authority will put these categories into circulation gradually starting from the HK $ 1000, which will be put into circulation in the last quarter of 2018," the bank said.
The bank called on all private banks to "inform their employees of foreign exchange workers of the new issuance of monetary authority in Hong Kong."
