Maliki calls on the Japanese ambassador to develop reconstruction projects, oil and electricity


The head of a coalition of state law Nuri al-Maliki, during a meeting with Japan's new ambassador to Iraq, Naofumi Hajimoto, on Wednesday, to develop reconstruction projects, oil and electricity. 

"The head of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki received in his office today, the new ambassador to Japan, Naofumi Hajimoto," his office said in a statement received by Al-Ghad Press.

Al-Maliki welcomed "Ambassador Hagimoto, wishing him success in his new mission as ambassador to his country in Baghdad," stressing that "Iraq has close relations with Japan in various fields." 

Al-Maliki praised the Japanese role in the field of reconstruction and assistance to the Iraqi side. He called for "increasing economic cooperation and strengthening the presence of Japanese companies in reconstruction projects, development of sectors, oil files, energy, electricity, services, education and industry." 

For his part, Haigimoto expressed "his country's desire to develop its relations with Iraq in all fields, especially in the economic field."
